Today, we celebrate our Scouting teachers across South Africa who not only teach in the classroom, but also give their time and energy to Scouting. Thank you for your unwavering dedication, passion, and commitment, both as educators and as Scouting volunteers. From KwaZulu-Natal to the Western Cape, and across all our Regions, Scouting-in-Schools is a vital part of community upliftment, especially in rural areas, low-income communities, townships, and even special needs schools in the North West. Your efforts ensure that thousands of children have access to opportunities for personal growth, leadership development, and character-building through the Scout programmes. Your role goes far beyond the school curriculum. Through Scouting, you inspire, guide, and empower young people to learn by doing, to grow with confidence, to live the Scout values, and to develop critical life skills that will enable them to be #ReadyForLife.
To all our Scouting volunteers, whether you’re a teacher, a Scouting parent, or someone who simply wants to make a difference, thank you for teaching young people to believe in themselves, to learn skills with confidence, and to reach for their full potential through Scouting. #creatingabetterworld
